31st Annual Multi-Cultural Earth Day
This year, WorldBeat Center’s Multi-Cultural Earth Day will be focused and dedicated to Climate Resilience and Food Sovereignty. Our food and our health are threatened by the conventional way of living, but we the people are the solution to today’s problems. We are excited about our speakers who will share about the importance of healing our soil, the miracles of moringa, the importance of knowing your body and the food we eat and how we can create wildlife-friendly habitats. Come enjoy family-friendly music, and dancing, and support local vendors.

- Native American drumming and blessing by Tim Red Bird and the Red Warriors
- WBC multi-cultural class showcase: Japanese Taiko Hosted by San Diego Taiko, Middle-Eastern Drumming and Belly Dance by Cairo Beats, West African Drum and Dance, Angola Capoeira by Silvestre, Afrobeat Dance by Stephanie O, and Brazilian Samba by Super Sonic Samba
- Healing Garden activities: annual Seed Swap, birdwatching, plant music showcase, and healing modalities in the garden

About Yah’ki Awakened Yah’ki a Spiritual Holistic Teacher, Herbalist, Crystal Healer, Musician and Positive Speaker for the Black Community. Yah’ki has developed a unique skill of merging biblical and ancient mystical principles into a scientific perspective. His mission is to show the Black Community their true identity and provoke self-awakening to excel in this reality. To execute his mission, Yah’ki promotes and demonstrate unity, love, health and self-awareness amongst his people.
About Mariko Mariko Davis Gifford is a versatile professional with a diverse range of experience. Her career includes international business consulting, corporate training, and local advocacy. She is also the owner/operator of Moringa For Life, a family business that grows Moringa and produces various products and educational courses. In 2014, she established Moringa For Peace to support graduates of their Moringa Growers and Educators Course worldwide.
About Marilu Lopez Fretts Marilu Lopez Fretts is a photojournalist based in Central New York. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Communications from the University of Puerto Rico. She is the Project Assistant at the Center Engagement in Science and Nature Projects and Cornell Lab of Ornithology with Celebrate Urban Birds Project. She is passionate about EDI in the sciences and inspiring the next generation of scientists in underserved communities.
