Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run

The Peace Run is an International Torch Relay Run, founded by Peace Advocate, Sri Chinmoy in 1987. Its purpose is to promote and raise awareness for Peace and Harmony. It does this through programs and meetings at schools and with organizations along its routes. Our motto is “Peace begins with me”. Typically, in a full Peace Run year, teams of runners go through more than a hundred countries and cover tens of thousands of miles, including ten thousand miles around the US and Mexico and Canada. This year we are doing local events across the country this Spring–we will be in the San Diego area May 2nd through May 6th, Tuesday through Saturday. Before San Diego, we are going to El Paso, and after, we are going to Seattle. 

On May 6th the run will start at Sri Chinmoy Peace Garden and will end at WorldBeat Center. Participants will meet at the park and go from Adams Ave to Park Blvd and walk/run to WorldBeat Center (about 3 miles)
