Bless up Family,
You are what you eat and you become what you think. Wow, so many sisters and brothers interested in improving their health and increasing their inner wealth. Today will be our fifth day in the cleanse and tomorrow, Sunday will be our last day for this cleanse. So far we’ve been juicing some powerful roots, vegetables, algae, and spices into your daily juices. Since the beginning we’ve been using ginger and I’d to take a moment to tell you a little bit about it.
Ginger is grown as a root and is a flexible ingredient that can be consumed in drinks (tea , beer, ale) or in cooking. It can be used to make foods spicy and even as a food preservative. For over 2000 years, Chinese and African medicine has recommended the use of ginger to help cure and prevent several health problems. It is known to promote energy circulation in the body and increase our body’s metabolic rate .
Ginger has been known to maintain normal blood circulation, improve absorption and stimulation of essential nutrients in the body, prevent and treat colds and flus and combat stomach discomfort. It has also been used to reduce pain and inflammation, combat morning sickness and strengthen immunity. Get ready tomorrow’s option A juice with fresh ginger.
Tomorrow’s other superfood in your second option of juice is garlic. Garlic belongs to the onion genus Allium, and is closely related to the onion, chive, leek, and shallot. It has been used by humans for thousands of years and was used in Ancient Egypt for both culinary purposes and its therapeutic benefits. From Ancient Egypt garlic spread to the advanced ancient civilizations of the Indus Valley (Pakistan and western India today). From there it made its way to China.
Throughout history in the Middle East, East Asia and Nepal, garlic has been used to treat bronchitis, hypertension (high blood pressure), TB (tuberculosis), liver disorders, dysentery, flatulence, colic, intestinal worms, rheumatism, diabetes, and fevers.
According to the National Library of Medicine, part of the NIH (National Institutes of Health), USA, garlic is widely used for several conditions linked to the blood system and heart, including atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), high cholesterol, heart attack, coronary heart disease and hypertension.
Garlic is also used today by some people for the prevention of lung cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, stomach cancer, rectal cancer, and colon cancer. Garlic may also help adults prevent the frequency of colds.
Fresh garlic and ginger ginger go a long way so let’s try to incorporate it into our diet as much as possible.
Today’s juice options are:
Day 4: Saturday

Option B) collards, carrots, beets, garlic
Just 1 more day to go!
Remember TODAY, Saturday we have Free QiGong class at 10AM Outside the WorldBeat Center on the Cultural Plaza lawn. I will be there getting my Chi on! So I want to see all the cleansing family out there with me circulating your Chi energy. Master Wendy teaches the Wuji Gong form of qigong exercise. It consists of a series of movements that open up the energetic pathways of the body, thereby clearing out blockages and promoting health. Wendy has been studying with Grandmaster Fu Wei Zhong, the head of Emei Qigong, since 2004.
