Jamie Shadowlight Celebration of Life & Memorial
Join us for a heartfelt gathering to celebrate the life of our dear friend Jamie Shadowlight. This is-person event will be a time to share music, stories, and memories to honor Jamie’s legacy.
The event will begin at 1:00pm inside the Worldbeat Center. We will have a video slide show and welcoming presentation. We will move into the garden area connected to the south end of the Worldbeat driveway at 1:30pm and hand each guest an envelope that has a live butterfly inside. In the garden area we will have an altar set up with Jamie’s most sacred belongings, we will perform a sound healing/bath and at 2:22pm everyone will open their envelope and release a live butterfly in her honor.
We will then return inside the Worldbeat Center for food, drinks and the live performances and speaking portion of the memorial. All of Jamie’s musical friends are invited to play at this event. please message Monette Marino at [email protected] with the subject line Jamie Shadowlight Memorial to let her know you’d like to contribute, you can bring a group or do an individual performance of 1-3 songs and feel free to tell stories about your experiences with Jamie during your time on stage.
We will take breaks in between performers to allow friends to speak about Jamie as well.

The garden space will be open the entire time and we will have paper and pen at Jamie’s Altar where you can write her your thoughts, prayers, blessings, stories, etc… At the end of the Memorial we will have drummers playing outside on the lawn and we will have a ritual burning of these notes (in a controlled chemical fire that does not endanger the environment).
We are looking forward to celebrating the amazing life and spirit of Jamie Shadowlight in the way she would want us to, together as a community with music, ritual and love.
